THE NEIGHBORHOOD Hancock sits at the junction of Route 100 and Route 125, surrounded by the Green Mountain National Forest. Middlebury Snow Bowl — same town, top of Middlebury Gap on Route 125. Seventeen trails, three lifts, gladed terrain, and almost no lift lines. Sugarbush — about 25 minutes north Killington — 30-40 minutes within reach for a day trip Summer activities: Texas Falls Recreation Area — in Hancock, one of the prettiest short walks in the state Moss Glen Falls — a short drive north on Route 100 Warren Falls always busy but worth it. There are cameras inside either at the garages or basement where you don't have access. The river is unsupervised and levels change with rainfall. Children should be accompanied. Hot tub rules and water-care instructions are shared. Pets are welcome with prior approval. Let us know the breed and count when you book. Winter arrivals: the driveway is plowed, but all-wheel drive or snow tires are strongly recommended on Route 125 over the Gap. Cell service is limited. Wi-Fi calling works well in both homes.
